This client were looking for the wow factor in their reception area. They wanted a specific Blue to tie into their logo but also something that people would remember.

Iconic surfaces delivered on that brief!

First, we used a floor grinder to take off the current surface topping then applied a self-leveling cement screed and liquid DPM to give a flat surface to work on and moisture protection.

Then it was on with the Epoxy base and design coats.

This floor will be finished with an anti-slip Matt protective top coat so it stays looking great even with heavy foot traffic.

All works were completed out of hours with no downtime in the day-to-day business activities.

For this project the client were not happy with their existing tile floor, the floor always felt cold underfoot and was difficult to keep clean.

They'd looked at various flooring options but all required the removal of the existing tiles which meant removing the kitchen units as well an expensive and messy job!.

Then they were recommended Iconic Surfaces and one of our design team met with the clients to discuss the benefits of an epoxy resin kitchen floor. These included;

   - Epoxy resin floors are warm underfoot (no more socks needed in the Kitchen)

   - Epoxy resin floors are seamless and easy to keep clean (no annoying grout lines)

   - Epoxy resin floors are durable and long-lasting (good value for money)

  - And finally, an epoxy resin floor can be laid directly on top of the existing tiles (saving money, time, and mess!)

As you can imagine the decision was easy for the client and Iconic Surfaces got to work.

Firstly we created a number of sample boards, epoxy resin is totally bespoke and the client gets to decide on the exact design they want on their floor before works commence. Once the design is signed off then work begins.

Day 1: Prime the tiles ready for the self-leveling screed, In the afternoon pour the self-leveling screed

Day 2: Pour the epoxy design coat

Day 3: Seal the floor with a polyurethane sealer.
